Wei Gao - NeuroTech Talks online

Body-Interfaced Biosensors

We are delighted that Wei Gao will deliver our third Cambridge NeuroWorks NeuroTech Talks online on 27 January 2026.

Professor Gao is Professor of Medical Engineering at Caltech, USA. His primary research interest is in the development of novel bioelectronic devices for personalized and precision medicine: wearable and flexible biosensors that can analyze the various biomarkers in body fluids for real-time continuous health monitoring and early diagnosis, and synthetic micro/nanomachines for rapid drug delivery and precision surgery. His research thrusts include fundamental materials innovation as well as practical device and system level applications in translational medicine.

Implications of the methods, findings, and applications of Wei’s pioneering work will be explored by George Malliaras (Prince Philip Professor of Technology, University of Cambridge). He will encourage audience participation by posing your questions to Wei.

The talk will be followed by small-group, breakout-room networking, offering you the opportunity to connect with others interested in the potential of neurotech to treat life-limiting neurological conditions.

You can watch this talk and send questions via the event page on the Cambridge NeuroWorks community of Connect: Health Tech. It's free to join both the platform and the seminar! Details below but please email if you need assistance.
