1. Purpose
Cambridge NeuroWorks is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment that supports open scientific exchange and collaboration.
This Code applies to all participants, including attendees, speakers, contributors, sponsors, volunteers, and staff.
It applies to all event spaces, including:
Event venues
Online platforms
Networking sessions
Social activities associated with the event
2. Expected Behaviour
Participants are expected to:
Treat all individuals with respect, courtesy, and professionalism
Use inclusive and respectful language
Engage constructively in discussions
Respect diverse perspectives and experiences
Support an open and collaborative environment
3. Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviours will not be tolerated:
Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
Offensive or inappropriate comments related to gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or physical appearance
Bullying, threats, or personal attacks
Unwelcome physical contact or inappropriate behaviour
Sustained disruption of presentations or discussions
Display of inappropriate or offensive materials
Unauthorised recording of presentations or participants
Damage to property or event facilities
4. Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please inform a Cambridge NeuroWorks team member or contact:
All concerns will be handled seriously and confidentially where possible.
5. Consequences of Violations
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in:
Removal from the event
Exclusion from future Cambridge NeuroWorks events
Notification of the participant’s organisation where appropriate
6. Shared Commitment
Cambridge NeuroWorks events are built on mutual respect, scientific integrity, and collaboration. All participants share responsibility for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
