Brain Mapping and Neural Connections

Brain Mapping and Neural Connections

Join the Cambridge NeuroWorks for an early evening exploration of the brain.

Whether you’re interested in neurotech broadly, neural interfaces, AI in neuroscience, wearable devices, brain health, or translating research to impact, we’d love to have you join us for networking, expert talks and panel discussions.

Draft programme

16:30 - Registration, refreshments and networking

17:15 - Introduction Jan Lowe (Director of LMB) and Cathy Tralau-Stewart (Director of Milner Therapeutics Institute)

17:25 - Sven Truckenbrodt (LMB) on Molecular brain mapping

17:50 - Amparo Güemes González (University of Cambridge) on novel therapies based on electrical interfaces with the nervous system and using metabolic bioelectronics to target the brain, vagus nerve, and enteric nervous system

18:15  - Panel Discussion - Neurotech Therapies for brain and neurological conditions: friend or foe?

Host - Cathy Tralau-Stewart (Milner Therapeutics Institute)

Panel:
- Sven Truckenbrodt (MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB))

- Laura Mediavilla Santos (Coherence Neuro).

18:35 - Informal networking with like-minded thinkers, innovators and entrepreneurs

Powered by Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA), the Cambridge NeuroWorks Programme supports the development of a new generation of neuro-technologies. From electronic brain implants to brain-computer interfaces, our focus is focus on breakthrough technologies to treat conditions such as depression, dementia, chronic pain, epilepsy and injuries to the nervous system.

We have planned this event to be inclusive and accessible. Please notify Cambridge NeuroWorks by 11 March 2026 of any specific requirements you have so that we can make reasonable adjustments. All under 18s must be accompanied by a legal guardian ticketholder, and should notify Cambridge NeuroWorks by 11 March 2026  so that a safeguarding risk assessment can be completed.
